The Plant Guys

Two regular dudes, friends for years, love plants.

That’s the TL;DR and, honestly, there isn’t much more to say after that. I really couldn’t think of anything to write, so I let GPT-4 come up with our loosely-based-on-a-true origin story:

Dan (left) and Mitch (right).
This isn’t Halloween, this is just the way that we dress in public.

Are you ready for a tale of two guys, a mutual love for plants, and a whole lot of...well, let's just say it rhymes with "shweed"?

Meet Mitch and Dan — two regular guys who grew up with a passion for horticulture and a deep appreciation for nature’s fruits.

For years, they spent their free time ruling over a kingdom in the woods; the kingdom of Sticky Icky. Eventually, they decided to move their plants indoors and started growing in their own basements. But as much as they loved the thrill of the grow, they were both miserable in their day jobs. Dan was slaving away at some big-shot telecommunications company, while Mitch was running a little logistics and transportation business. They needed a change, and fast.

One day, while sampling the fruits of their labor, an interdimensional being from a universe where Mars looked a lot like Ann Arbor, came in through the window and told them that they could combine their love and extraordinary knowledge of horticulture with their passion for delicious food. And that's when they started collecting and growing unique peppers and tomatoes. I’ll tell you, it just felt right.

So, they eventually started The Plant Guys. Offering rare cultivars of sweet and spicy peppers, and tomato plants for regular folk like them to step up their home gardens. They were finally doing what they loved and bringing joy to people's taste buds. Life is funny like that. If you want to add some serious flavor to your garden, give The Plant Guys a holler. They'll hook you up with the dankest…and tastiest pepper and tomato plants in the multiverse.

Dan and Mitch have since grown up and lead a much more fulfilled life in their day jobs.

Dan does important work for a long-term care facility, rehabilitating patients with traumatic head injuries.

Mitch is in research and development for the largest brand of flowers in North America, studying new plant genetics for their eventual release to market.
